Pleco Pairs?

default Pleco Pairs?

Post  The_Fishy_One on Mon 18 Feb 2008, 11:34 pm

In my 68 gallon tank, my common pleco has gotten pretty big. I am thinking about adding a gold nugget pleco to the tank. Will they get along? Can someone give me some background information on this fish? I feed most of my catfish algae wafers, so I think the new pleco should be ok.

Gold Nugget Plecos aren't really as hardy as other plecos, but you should be ok. Check out this site:

They will eat algae waffers, but add some shrimp pellets to their diet. Mine also loves romane lettuce.

I want a pleco, too. Can I have one in my 10 gallon with my tetras and cories? Suspect Suspect Suspect

A pleco would get to large for a 10 gallon, I wouldn't recommended any pleco for a tank that size.
